Password generator
Generate an Apple-style password, easy to read and type, or choose the length and the character types. The password is generated again on every change.
How it works
- The password is generated on the server and is not stored anywhere.
- It is created with a cryptographically secure random number generator.
- The Apple style follows the format of the strong passwords suggested by iPhone and Mac: three groups of six lowercase letters separated by hyphens, with exactly one uppercase letter and one digit.
- In the custom style, lowercase letters are always included and the password has at least one character of each chosen type. Symbols leave out quotes, backslashes and spaces, which tend to break when pasted into config files or the terminal.
- The latest generated values are listed below the button until you leave the page.
How to use the API
You can integrate the password generator into your app through our REST API.
